When it comes to broadcasting or editing I love all aspects of it. When it comes to broadcasting I started to develop my skills while attending the University of Pittsburgh. While at school I took Broadcasting 1 and 2 and also the television practicum Pitt To The Point. On the Editing side, I took advanced editing in my junior year, but it did not start there. I actually started filmmaking and video editing at sleepaway camp when I was 13 years old. During that time at camp, I was invited to take the advanced class which was invite-only and I was the youngest one in that class. The best part about both of these tasks is the end product. With broadcasting, I saw the whole show come together from the formatting to the final show. In editing, seeing the film come together with either the right music or just lining the audio with the mouths moving.

On the professional side, I had the opportunity to work with the Sussex County Miners and the Trenton Thunder. For the Trenton Thunder, I focused mainly on improving my camera operating skills. For the Sussex County Miners, I had the opportunity to do more camera work. While also directing and technical directing the live stream of the games. After the internships ended I had the opportunity to take on the Marty Faubell Fellowship with Hearst Media. This took place at the Pittsburgh Station WTAE. I learned many aspects of a news station focusing on the technical aspects. Here I learned how to work an audio board, master control, and learn a little technical directing. This helped me when the 10-week fellowship ended, and I was given the opportunity to move to Greenville, SC, and work at WYFF. Here I continued audio with more opportunity to do mater control. I learned so much at these two stations and am excited to learn more.
